What are the registration fees for the event?

My organization is sponsoring PIDfest, do I still need to register?
Yes, all attendees need to register. As a sponsor, your organization will receive one or more free registrations – we will email our contact point with more information.
Will there be a discounted registration rate for presenters, speakers, or accepted contributors?
No, there is no discount for speakers. In case of hardship please contact us at pidfest@surf.nl
Is there a discounted registration rate for attendees from less well-funded organizations?
Yes, attendees from low- and middle-income countries can register at the discounted Global Solidarity rate – please see the registration page for more information.
Can I register to attend the event virtually?
Yes, the plenary sessions will be livestreamed, and information about virtual registration will be available shortly.
What forms of payment are accepted?
For payments outside of The Netherlands we recommend using a credit card. For payments in The Netherlands there is the option to pay with iDeal/Wero.
I submitted my payment but haven’t received a confirmation email – what should I do?
Confirmation emails may take several hours to come through, and they may be wrongly identified as spam. Please check your spam box and, if you haven’t received confirmation within 24 hours of submitting your payment, please email us at pidfest@surf.nl.
What if my payment doesn't go through?
If you're based outside the Netherlands, we recommend paying by credit card. iDeal/Wero is only available for Dutch bank accounts. Still having trouble? Email us at pidfest@surf.nl.
What language will the event be in?
The event is fully in English.
Where can I find information about the programme?
The full programme will be published in July; please check the programme page https://www.pidfest.org/programme for updates in the meantime.
Will sessions be recorded, and will presentation materials be shared after the event?
Plenary sessions will be livestreamed and recorded, and all presentations will be added to the PIDfest 2026 repository.
I didn't sign up for the social dinner but would like to join.
Spots may still be available. Email pidfest@surf.nl and we'll check for you.
Any dinner recommendations for Monday evening?
We'll share suggestions here once confirmed.
Are meals and refreshments included?
Coffee, tea, and lunch are provided on all three days. The welcome reception on day one, and closing drinks on day three are also included.
I have dietary requirements. How do I let you know?
You can indicate dietary requirements during registration. If you forgot, email pidfest@surf.nl.
Where can I stay? Any hotel recommendations?

How do I get to Naturalis and LUMC?
Please check https://www.pidfest.org/plan-your-visit to find out how to get to the venue(s).
How do I get between Naturalis and LUMC?
The two venues are about a 10-minute walk apart. If your mobility is limited and you require transportation between the two locations, please email pidfest@surf.nl.
Is the venue accessible for people with limited mobility?
Please indicate any accessibility needs during registration. If you forgot to do so, email pidfest@surf.nl and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
Can I request a visa support letter?
Yes, we can send you an official invitation for the purpose of applying for a Schengen visa when attending a conference. Please contact pidfest@surf.nl if you haven’t received this already.

Can I organise a co-located event around PIDfest?
