All prices include 21% VAT. All tickets include full access to all three conference days, catering, and the Tuesday evening welcome reception.

• Regular Ticket - Conference only | 363 Euro. Full three-day access to all plenary sessions, workshops, and other sessions at Naturalis and LUMC plus lunches, coffee breaks, and the welcome reception on Tuesday 27 October.

• Regular Ticket - Conference + social dinner* | 453,75 Euro. Everything in the regular ticket, plus the Wednesday evening social dinner at Scheltema in Leiden.

• Global Solidarity Ticket - Conference only | 181,50 Euro. Reduced-fee access for participants from low- and middle-income countries. Same full conference experience.

• Global Solidarity Ticket - Conference + social dinner* | 226,88 Euro. Reduced-fee access plus the Wednesday evening social dinner at Scheltema, for participants from low- and middle-income countries.

*Places at the social dinner are limited. If you would like to join, we recommend adding it to your ticket as soon as you register.

!Please note: If you are registering from outside the Netherlands, please do not use the iDEAL or Wero payment options, as these may result in an error. We kindly ask you to use a credit card instead. 

Food and drinks are included throughout the conference. All conference catering is vegetarian. During registration you can let us know about any allergies or specific dietary requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

International participants who need a visa to travel to the Netherlands can request an official invitation letter from SURF. Please indicate this during registration and we will be in touch. For questions, contact us at pidfest@surf.nl.

The conference takes place across two locations in Leiden: Naturalis Biodiversity Center and LUMC (Leiden University Medical Center), a short 10-minute walk apart

If you need mobility support or have any other accessibility requirements, please let us know during registration. We want everyone to participate fully and comfortably, and we will do our best to make suitable arrangements.

Accommodation advice

Leiden has a range of hotels within walking or cycling distance of both venues. An overview of recommended options is available in our accommodation guide.

If you prefer more options or a broader price range, Den Haag and Amsterdam are both well connected to Leiden by train (30 to 50 minutes). 

If your plans change, our cancellation policy is as follows:

Before 28 August 2026 (more than 60 days before the event): 100% refund

28 August to 27 September 2026 (30 to 60 days before the event): 50% refund

From 28 September 2026 (less than 30 days before the event): no refund

Ticket transfers

Tickets are fully transferable to another person at no cost. Transfers must be completed no later than 7 working days before the event starts, by 20 October 2026 (CET/CEST, Europe/Amsterdam).

To transfer your ticket, email pidfest@surf.nl with:

• Your full name and order number

• The new attendee's full name and email address
