Terms and Conditions for PIDfest 2024 Conference Attendees
1. Introductory provisions
These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the rights and obligations of attendees and organisers of the PIDfest 2024 Conference (the "Conference"). The Conference is organised by the National Library of Technology with the support of the Australian Research Data Commons. The Conference is produced by MGM agency s.r.o., a company based in the Czech Republic (ID 03736016), and directed by the National Library of Technology. The Conference will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, 11-13 June 2024, at the National Library of Technology, but a part of the program can also be attended online.
2. Registration and participation in the Conference
Prior registration and payment of the registration fee is required to attend the Conference. Registration can be done by filling out the registration form on the official conference website. After registration, the participant will receive a registration confirmation along with payment instructions. The registration fee for attendance / "on-site" participation in the Conference includes participation in the Conference, refreshments during the event and participation and refreshments in the accompanying program. Fees do not include accommodation or travel costs. The participant is responsible for the timely processing of any visa requirements and related costs.
3. Payment
Registration is considered complete upon payment of the registration fee. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer. Payment details and due dates are sent out in the payment instructions that the participant will receive after registration. Upon payment of the registration fee, the participant will receive a tax receipt by email.
4. Cancellation Policy
Registration for the Conference is binding. No refund can be requested once the registration fee has been paid. In case of cancellation by the attendee, the attendee can send a substitute after prior agreement with the organizers. In the event of cancellation by the attendee, the cancellation fee is set at 100% of the registration fee paid. The organizers reserve the right to reduce the cancellation fee in exceptional, justified cases.
5. Liability
The organisers shall not be liable for any indirect, special or incidental damages arising out of participation or non-participation in the Conference or which are in any way connected with participation in the Conference. The organisers reserve the right to change the Conference programme, venue or date of the event for serious reasons.
6. Out-of-court settlement
The Czech Trade Inspection Authority, with its registered office at Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, ID No.: 000 20 869, URL: https://adr.coi.cz/cs, is competent for the out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes arising from the purchase contract.

The Seller (MGM agency s.r.o. - the company producing the Conference) is authorised to sell Conference registrations on the basis of a trade licence. Trade control is carried out within the scope of its competence by the competent trade authority. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority supervises compliance with Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, among other things.
7. Final provisions
These Terms and Conditions are valid and effective for all Conference attendees from the time of registration. By registering, the Conference attendee agrees to these Terms and Conditions and undertakes to comply with them. In case of any questions or uncertainties, please contact the Conference organizing team at contact@pidfest.org. The organisers reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions if necessary.
