Prague
Prague is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, known for its beautiful gothic and baroque buildings, charming cobblestone streets, and picturesque bridges crossing the Vltava River. In 1992 the historical centre of Prague, covering an area of 866 hectares, was listed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register. Visitors from all over the world come here not only to admire its history and diverse architecture, but also to enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

BY AIR
The international airport Václav Havel Airport Prague (IATA: PRG, ICAO: LKPR) is located in the northwestern part of the city. It can be easily reached by public transport from the National Library of Technology (NTK) in about 45 minutes depending on traffic.
AIRPORT BUS
The best way to reach the city center from the airport is the airport bus, which is inexpensive and runs frequently.
Information on timetables and tickets
To get to the NTK, take the bus 59 from the Prague Airport to “Nádraží Veleslavín” stop. Here you change to the Prague Metro line A in the direction of “Depo Hostivař” and get out at “Dejvická” stop. Use the "Šolínova/Vysoké školy" exit to walk to NTK (5 minutes).
TAXI FROM AIRPORT
To get to the city center from the airport, you can use taxis or apps like Uber, Bolt or Liftago. These options might be slightly faster but also significantly more expensive than public transport.
It is important to be aware of the potential high prices of taxi services that pick up passengers directly from the street. Many taxi drivers may charge exorbitant prices, especially from tourists or those unfamiliar with local fares, so we always recommend using an app.
Uber is now the official taxi service of the Prague Airport.
The journey time from the airport to NTK is approximately 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. The price for this ride is around 250–300 CZK.
BY TRAIN
If you are travelling to Prague from a European country, taking the train might be a great option for you. For international travel, you can take the Czech National Railways České dráhy or the private railway RegioJet.
The main train station in Prague is called “Praha hl.n.” or “Hlavní nádraží” and is located near the city centre. It is served by the Metro line C (red line) stop “Hlavní nádraží” as well as various trams and buses.
BY BUS
Travelling by bus can also be a great option. You can use RegioJet or Flixbus for international connections.
